April 2017 Passive Income Apps Report $20,855.21

My 2nd passive income apps report is out! April was an interesting month. I ran one large promo for one of our bigger and more popular apps. I dropped the app price by 90% and teamed up with up an app promo company. They have a huge a huge email list that they blast the promo out to. The deal is to pay them a % of my app sales after they blast out the promo to their list and to write the name of their promotional deals website in my app description. “90% off sale for today only thanks to —–deals.com”. Teaming up with these promo vendors works every time. You see a spike in downloads and you kind of hope it stables off higher than where the app was ranked before the promo. It’s natural to see the drop in ranking right after the promo is over.

Vs Previous Month of April

App price adjustments were in April vs App promos in May. Looks like both plans worked, but didn’t make a huge impact when stabling off the app prices. Appfigures is nice because they let you compare months with that “prior period” button. I’ve been using Appfigures for some time and feel like it’s worth the monthly fee for their analytics. AppAnnie is another analytics platform that’s “free”. I say “free” because they offer paid services to see analytics of the app store and use your imported analytics for their overall data that they sell to clients.

Plans For May

April 2017 App Passive Income Report $20,855.21I just released a new app in the beginning of May, so I’m going to spend a little time on it. It’s going to need a lot of tweaking as most apps do. It’s a freemium app with a subscription model. So it’ll be interesting to track the analytics. I’m also planning to be more active on the blog and start posting a little more on app development. Hoping to give more details on how I’m still generating income in today’s competitive app market. The blogging thing is new to me and I’m trying to juggle it with being a full-time appreneur. 😉  I read a lot of blogs, but have never actually been the one to post.

What are your plans for May? Are you working on any new and exciting project?
